While checking camera out:

Ensure shooting in RAW (MENU → **📷 → “**Image quality RAW”)

Check - lens cleanliness, full battery life, card storage

While shooting:

Capture action!

Avoid excessive negative space.

Shoot in Auto or S (Shutter priority) for high motion.

Use histogram display as a guide while shooting!

Hit DISP button in top right next to viewfinder.

An even distribution shows proper exposure :)

Important notes to avoid corruption!

When the reading & writing of data on an SD card is interrupted, the card can become corrupted, damaging or destroying the image files. If this does happen, we will all survive, but there’s 3 things you can do to prevent it:

• Don’t let the camera die! Always turn it off after use. If you see a blinking red battery symbol in the bottom right of your display screen, stop shooting and turn the camera off.
• Ensure writing indicator light (green or red light above i information symbol) isn’t flashing before turning the camera off.
• Don’t upload the photos yourself! Return the camera as soon as possible and message me (Bridget :)) once it’s returned to the office. </aside>
